Jim L. Cooper Jr. FF/EMT-P, IC

Real-World Experience. Practical Training. A Commitment to Saving Lives.

I became a firefighter and paramedic in 1996 because I wanted to serve people during the moments when help matters most. After several years of responding to medical emergencies, I recognized another important need: helping everyday people and professionals feel prepared before an emergency happens.

In 2001, I began teaching CPR, BLS, ACLS, and First Aid. Since then, I have spent more than two decades helping students develop the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to respond effectively in critical situations.

I founded Cooper CPR LLC to provide more than a class. My goal is to create a professional, supportive learning environment where every student receives clear instruction, meaningful hands-on practice, and American Heart Association certified training rooted in real emergency-response experience.

Early recognition, immediate CPR, and proper use of an AED can make a life-saving difference during cardiac emergencies. That is why I take the responsibility of training every student seriously.

Cooper CPR LLC brings training directly to your business or organization, and also offers public classes at select community locations throughout Genesee and Oakland County — check our Events page for upcoming dates near you.

Whether you're a healthcare professional, caregiver, educator, coach, or community member looking to be prepared for yourself, there's a class that fits.

You may never expect to face an emergency—but you can be prepared for one.
